Backhoe Trenching

We like to think that this method is the oldest and most commonly known method of installation. One simply excavates a trench with the use of an excavator or backhoe and places the product in the ground. Once the product is place, it is backfilled and compacted to reduce the inherent risk on washouts and sinkholes. This method is the most visually impacting on the established terrain as it scars the earth the entire length and depth of the installation. This method also requires the cutting of streets and driveways. This method is usually avoided in residential situations. This is where Horrizontal Directional Drilling comes into effect.

(Your driveway will appreciate the HDD) :-D
